Wellington XXX is a classic British variety, grown and trusted for over 60 years. It’s easy to grow, highly productive, and produces heavy crops of vitamin C–rich berries year after year. Perfect for fresh eating, smoothies, jams, and pies, this self-fertile plant is ideal for both beginners and experienced gardeners.
Suitable for gardens or large pots, it thrives in a sunny, sheltered, south-facing position with fertile, well-drained soil. Expect a mature height and spread of around 1.5m. Plant from late autumn to early spring, and enjoy a sweet harvest in April to May. Robust and low-maintenance, it also makes an attractive addition to fruit gardens or productive borders.
